Since its foundation in 1989, everything at W.A.L. has revolved around clean water. We have achieved a lot in 30 years. And we will achieve even more in the future.
Our history

Company foundation
W.A.L. Wassertechnik GmbH was founded in mid-1989 by graduate engineer Matthias Leipprand. The company moved into its first business premises in the "Carl Schirm" business park in Kirchentellinsfurt in the Neckar valley, 10 kilometres east of the university town of Tübingen.

Relocation of the company headquarters
At the beginning of the 1990s, the company headquarters were relocated from Kirchentellinsfurt in the Neckar valley near Tübingen to Eningen unter der Achalm, situated at the foot of the Swabian Alb, between Reutlingen and Metzingen.
In the course of the relocation, a building with considerably larger production and storage space was rented.

UOS100 - First microprocessor controller from our own production
After two years of development, W.A.L. Wassertechnik GmbH launches the first microprocessor controller on the market. The UOS100 microprocessor controllers were designed for the operation of reverse osmosis systems and have been used successfully for more than 20 years. Thanks to the high-quality design and the quality of the components used, many of the UOS100 microprocessor controllers are still in operation today, 25 years after their market launch.

Innovative water technology
W.A.L. launches a unique reverse osmosis device onto the market. The Aquarent© C series in a stainless steel housing is characterised by its compact design with high-quality industrial technology inside. Comprehensive sensor technology inside ensures the safest operation. In the design, great importance was attached to the quietest possible operation. This means that the appliances can even be operated in bars and restaurants without any problems.
The appliances in the Aquarent© C series are still built and sold by W.A.L. today.

The first edition of the Wasserfibel is published
The Wasserfibel was created to sensitise users to operating costs caused by poor water quality. This water guide is aimed specifically at the needs of the catering, hotel and communal catering sectors.
