Usage
The connection blocks in the AB series are designed for simple, time-saving, and cost-effective connection of water softeners to the water supply network. The blocks are made of red brass and feature two shut-off valves that can be used to shut off the inflow and outflow of the water softener. The connection to the water softener is made using pressure hoses with stainless steel sheathing.
The AB connection blocks are designed as in-line fittings: the raw water connection and the softened water connection are located horizontally on opposite sides of an axis. The supply and return lines to the water softener are arranged vertically parallel to each other in order to make connection as easy as possible.
Functionality
The ABV connection block is used when soft water is to be blended with hard water and the water softener does not have an integrated blending valve. The blending valve operates independently of pressure and keeps the blended hardness largely constant regardless of the amount withdrawn.
If the water softener has an integrated mixing valve or if mixing is not desired, the ABB connection block is used. It has an integrated manual bypass valve, which can be used to supply consumers with hard water if the water softener is temporarily shut down. A sampling valve and an additional Rp 1/2 connection on the hard water side are also provided.
