Usage
Pressure reducers protect water systems from excessive supply pressure. They can be used for industrial and commercial purposes in accordance with their specifications, as well as for domestic water systems. Using a pressure reducer prevents pressure damage and reduces water consumption. The set pressure is maintained even when the inlet pressure fluctuates significantly. By reducing and maintaining the operating pressure at a constant level, disruptive flow noises within the installation are minimized.
When designing pressure reducers, it must be noted that they must be dimensioned according to the expected flow rates (see DIN 1988 - Part 5 or DVGW Worksheet W314) and not according to the nominal diameter of the pipes.
