Usage
The STC series backflow preventers are used in accordance with DIN EN 1717 to protect the drinking water network when connecting devices and systems that pose a risk to drinking water, in accordance with classes 1-4 of DIN 1988, Part 4.
Functionality
The system separators operate hydraulically and are controlled by the medium itself. Two built-in non-return valves divide the system separator into chambers: an inlet chamber, a middle chamber, and an outlet chamber. Each of the three chambers is equipped with a test connection.
The two independent backflow preventers, which separate the middle zone (reduced pressure zone) from the other zones, are closed without pressure.
The relief valve in the middle chamber, which is used to drain contaminants, is closed without pressure.
