Usage
The mixed-bed filter cartridges of the MDD series are used to produce fully desalinated water from drinking water or for residual desalination of permeate.
Functionality
When the mixed bed exchanger is flooded, the cations contained in the water are exchanged for H+ ions and the anions for OH- ions – the result is pure water.
The residual conductivity after the mixed bed exchanger is usually less than 1 µS/cm. When the exchanger is exhausted, the conductivity increases. The exhausted mixed bed material must be rinsed out and replaced with freshly regenerated material. Alternatively, you can use our exchange service and send in the filter containers for replacement or have them picked up.
