Usage
The EWF5-SX series of individual water softening systems are used where highly fluctuating amounts of soft water are drawn at relatively low average consumption (e.g., building supply). The systems are operated with economical salting.
The amount of soft water withdrawn is measured fully automatically by a contact water meter and transmitted to the microprocessor control system, where the remaining capacity and operating status of the system are displayed. Once the set capacity has been exhausted, the control system triggers regeneration.
A reliable, 5-stage central control valve, the low-voltage transformer, the time-controlled brine refill, the safety brine valve, and the sieve bottom for dry storage of the salt supply guarantee many years of trouble-free operation of the system.
Functionality
The amount of softened water extracted is recorded by a contact water meter and transmitted to the control system. Once the capacity of the filter tank in operation has been exhausted, the control system automatically initiates regeneration of the exhausted filter tank. The control valve regulates both the water flow through the tank during operation and the regeneration phases:
- Backwashing
- Salting/Slow washing
- Washing out
- Refill salt dissolving container
During regeneration, hard water is supplied to consumers.
